The COMMON Education Foundation is continually exploring new ways to attract, support and build a highly skilled IT workforce. With recent statistics showing there are currently 543,145 open computing jobs nationwide and only 42,969 computer science students that graduated into the workforce in 2015, the COMMON Education Foundation is exploring a demographic beyond those that fit within the traditional learning mold. We believe we can build a highly skilled IT workforce through progressive education models that take into consideration the needs of  non-traditional students.
